What target groups is the newtron SRM solution aimed at?   top

a) Procurement:
Depending on the background of the business as well as purchasing volume and procurement strategy (i.e. single sourcing, binding supplier agreements, etc) a wide range of potential can be realized by implementing the newtron solution. In general, it holds that a single procurement project should be no smaller than 50,000 Euros and that annual purchasing volume should be at least 20 million Euros.

b) Sales:
The newtron SRM solution is intended for companies in sales that produce or sell their products in close cooperation with their customers but also for all companies who sell their products and services through bidding auctions or contractor selection procedures.

Is your platform multilingual?   top

It is. The standard newtron SRM solution is available in English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Additional languages are available on request.

Systems support and customer service is offered in 12 languages: German, English, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien), Thai, Malay, and Japanese.

Can drawn components be mapped as well?   top

Yes. newtron's CAD viewer enables the exchange of product drawings and specifications without any additional integration expenditure. In addition, this tool allows the supplier to make suggestions for improvement (red lining) and contribute to the product development process.


How long does it take to implement the solution?   top

The time needed generally depends on the initial position of the company which is determined by infrastructure on the one hand (Internet access, browser, PCs) and by the need for process investigation and integration on the other. As a rule we will furnish the application within two working days depending on whether the customer has a PC with a browser and Internet access.


How do I sign up to use newtron?   top

Is it expensive for a company in sales to register with newtron?   top

No. It is very easy to get registered. Just give us a call or use the e-mail form under „Contact/E-Mail

There is a basic registration fee of € 50 per platform there is an annual usage fee as well, starting at € 250. You will receive registration data from us and have the opportunity to design your company profile with certificates, quality audits, etc., and to group your products and services into our Nomenclature. If you need support the newtron Customer Service Team will be there to help you. Hotline: 0180 – 5 23 47 00.


How can a supplier to procuring companies make contact   top
and introduce his/her company?

The Business Index allows you to perform targeted searches within sourcing or sales as well as to send a note of introduction or to establish contact directly.


How are bidders kept informed of current transactions?   top

Bidders receive an e-mail from the requesting company with a notification or invitation to supply information, make a bid or participate in an auction. The supplier or bidder can naturally also play a more active role. Using the newtron business platforms you will be able to look at open calls for bids and participate as desired.


How can I cancel my newtron access?   top

Cancellations require the written form (by post, E-Mail or Fax). A cancellation in duplicate would be optimal (e. g. receipt at newtron per E-Mail and Fax).

What are the IT infrastructure requirements for using newtron?   top

newtron is simple not complicated. A PC with Internet access, a login name, and a password is all you need to use newtron.


Can the newtron SRM solution link to ERP systems?    top

Yes. Our IT Services put us in the position of being able to link to nearly every kind of ERP system (Baan, JD Edwards, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.) due to the flexibility of the A2A server. We offer processor-oriented adapters for the integration of SAP R/3 as a basic feature. In addition, it is possible to link to PDM or PLM systems as well. Using the WebEDI module many kinds of documents can be exchanged electronically between sourcing and sales.
